The Wisdom of Al-Quran

 

Assalamu'alaikum, hi everyone. Actually, as IIUM student, we need to do an e-portfolio for our usrah. Today, I would like to share about the wisdom of Al-Quran revealed. Maybe some of my viewers are Muallaf which means he/her has just reverted to being Muslim. 

What is Al-Quran? 

Al-Quran is the divine book and is believed by Muslims to be a revelation from God and delivered through His Messenger.

There are other divine books in Islam which is Tawrah revealed to Prophet Musa A.S, the Zabur to Prophet Dawud A.S, and the Injil to Prophet Isa A.S.

So, what is the most special thing about Al-Quran compared to other divine books? 

When Allah revealed these divine books, Allah didn't guarantee to preserve them except Al-Quran. This is what makes Al-Quran more special than other divine books. Al-Quran is inimitability by human and it's remain authentic until the Final Day.

إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا ٱلذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُۥ لَحَـٰفِظُونَ

Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur’an and indeed, We will be its guardian.

Surah al-Hijr: 15:9

The Wisdom of Al-Quran:

1) TO PROVE THE TRUTHFULNESS OF THE PROPHET

• By this statement, it is because the disbelievers always mocked the Prophet and used to ask the Prophet to outwit him. Because of that, Allah answer it in Al-Quran which is;

وَلَا يَأْتُونَكَ بِمَثَلٍ إِلَّا جِئْنَـٰكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَأَحْسَنَ تَفْسِيرًا

And they do not come to you with an argument except that We bring you the truth and the best explanation.

Surah Furqan: 25:33

2) AS GRACE & GUIDANCE FOR MUSLIMS

• Al-Quran was revealed to guide Muslims in every aspect of their life include the Five Principals of Maqasid Al-Syariah;
• Preservation of Intellect
  
• Preservation of Faith
• Preservation of Wealth
• Preservation of Life
• Preservation of Lineage
• Al-Quran is not confined to a specific place and time but it reaches around the world and is timeless, from the time of the Prophet until today. 

3) TO STRENGTHEN THE PROPHET DETERMINATION IN PREACHING TO THE DISBELIEVERS

• The Prophet was distressed and downhearted by the attitude of his people towards his message. They mocked him and said that he was a sorcerer and a madman. Al-Quran was revealed gradually to strengthen Prophet's heart and help him to gain his determination again without feeling despair in his journey to preach to humans.

4) TO GIVE HUMANS KNOWLEDGE ABOUT JUDGEMENT DAY

• Al-Quran also mentions the hereafter and Judgement Day which is an unseen matter. As humans, it is beyond our imagination but Muslims are well informed on matters beyond the human sense of perception and thinking by referring to Al-Quran.

As a conclusion, Al-Quran is the source of guidance in religion and it was revealed to guide us as a servants of Allah. As a Muslims, it is compulsory for us to make Al-Quran as our companion in everything we do. We should read, understand the meaning of verses, and practice it in our life. Eventually, this topic show us how important Al-Quran in our daily life.
